About this care
Welcome to Doomijn BSO Dijkhuizen, located at Dijkhuizen 68a in Ruinerwold. Our team is ready every weekday to offer children aged 4 to 13 a safe, challenging and welcoming place after school. We work closely with Kind Centrum Ruinerwold, which is housed at the same address; this means children can come straight to us after the last bell without any extra transport.
Our after-school care facility has 30 regular places and has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 January 2014 under number 228255235. We provide care from Monday to Friday. Parents who have to start work early can also make use of pre-school care from 07:00 to 08:30.
At Doomijn, play, discovery and being together are central. We offer both calm and structure after a busy school day and plenty of space to let off steam. Our pedagogical staff see what each child needs: one child may look for a quiet corner to read or do crafts, while another wants to run, build or play sports outside. We make use of the immediate surroundings: the village, the greenery and the play areas around the school building.

Doomijn BSO Dijkhuizen in Ruinerwold is an after-school care (BSO) facility for up to 30 children aged 4 to 13. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) Drenthe conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 9 February 2026. All assessed quality requirements were met: pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and accommodation. The pedagogical staff are familiar with the policy and work in accordance with it. The staff-to-child ratio was in order, including during permitted deviations of up to three hours per day. Backup staff are arranged who can be available within 15 minutes. The indoor space (142 m²) and outdoor space comfortably meet the requirements. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The operator responded positively to the report. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
