Subsidy & costs
Parents are often entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). We advise parents to check the Tax Authority website to see if they are entitled to benefit and how much they can receive back. The costs for childminder childcare (gastouderopvang) consist of two parts: the childminder's hourly rate and the agency costs. Childminders set their own hourly rate, which on average ranges between €7.00 and €8.75 per hour per child. The agency costs are €1.00 per hour per child with a minimum of €37.50 and a maximum of €107.50 per month per family. For the search for a suitable childminder, a one-time fee of €37.50 is charged, which is deducted from the first invoice when childcare actually starts.
Trust & screening
Our childminders undergo careful screening before they can start with us. They must hold at least a child-focused diploma (helping care and welfare level 2 or higher), a valid paediatric first aid certificate and a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG/Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag) for themselves and all adult household members. We carry out a Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RIE/Risico Inventarisatie en Evaluatie) in and around their home, which is sent to the GGD for inspection. After approval by the GGD, they are registered in the National Childcare Register.
Gastouderbureau Dolfijntjes is an approved childminder agency that meets all legal quality requirements and is listed in the National Childcare Register (Landelijk Register Kinderopvang/LRK). We have an internal complaints procedure in accordance with the Childcare Act and work with a reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse.
