Kinderopvang Deest's toddler group and after-school care (BSO) are located together in primary school 't Klosterhûfke. Being housed in primary school 't Klosterhûfke promotes cooperation, as we offer shared themes and activities. This gives the toddlers a chance to get a good start at primary school. And the children from the after-school care (BSO) can play after school in a familiar, safe environment. At toddler group Deest, we create an open, warm atmosphere in which your child can develop at their own pace. We are interested in what occupies your child and enjoy the milestones we see them reach. We do this based on positive attention, appreciation, and encouragement. Of course, help, protection, and support are also part of this from time to time. We achieve this through various activities, making use of a pleasant classroom in the school. This space is divided into rich play corners. The outdoor playground is an extension of this group room. Toddler group Deest offers Early Childhood Education (Voorschoolse Educatie/VE). In this way, we ensure that children develop through play. For this, we use the VE programme Uk & Puk, which covers various developmental areas. Each time, a different theme takes centre stage, and every theme is worked out in challenging, playful activities that target different developmental goals. BSO Deest makes use of the spaces in primary school 't Klosterhûfke. Here, we share the space with our toddler group, which plays here in the morning. We do all kinds of activities that match your child's interests. We don't come up with these alone—the children are actively involved in thinking them up too.
