About this care
Welcome to KDV De Woelwaters, part of Stichting SKID Kinderopvang. We are located at Borchsingel 41 in the heart of Eelderwolde and provide care for 60 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our daycare is open 52 weeks a year, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
At De Woelwaters, discovery is at the heart of everything we do. We believe children learn best about new tastes and experiences in a safe, familiar environment. That is why we serve a warm lunch daily for all children from 6 months onwards. For just €1.75 per meal, we introduce children to healthy, varied dishes. Our pedagogical staff know exactly how to encourage children to take a bite—eating together with friends makes tasting so much easier! At the end of the day, your child goes home with a healthy portion of food—a great start to the evening.
In addition to daycare, we offer a toddler playgroup called Woelmuizen on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 8:15 AM to 12:15 PM. This playgroup operates during school weeks and is covered by the municipality of Tynaarlo.
Our location is supported by an active parent committee: Oudercommissie Eelderwolde Actief. Together with parents, we create a warm and safe environment where every child can develop optimally. Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Woelwaters in Eelderwolde was inspected unannounced on 10 February 2026 by GGD Drenthe. The location provides care for a maximum of 60 children aged 0 to 4 years and is housed in the multifunctional facility Borchkwartier. All assessed quality requirements have been met: general conditions, pedagogical climate, and staff and groups. The pedagogical practice demonstrates sensitive and responsive practice, in which children are emotionally safely cared for and stimulated in their development. The staff meets all qualification requirements, including Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) verification and language requirements. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The holder employs a pedagogical policy staff member and coach with plausible working hours. The advice to the municipality of Tynaarlo is: no enforcement action.
