Welcome to De Westerkim in Zaandam. We provide after-school care (BSO) in a brand-new building located at Anna de Waalstraat 15. We collaborate closely with the adjacent primary school, De Westerkim, ensuring a smooth transition and a familiar environment for the children.
Our BSO is a place where children aged 4 to 12 can relax, play, and discover new things after school. We offer a safe and stimulating environment where children can choose what they want to do. Whether they want to play with friends, be outdoors, engage in creative activities, or simply sit quietly with a book, it's all possible with us.

Summary
BSO De Westerkim in Zaandam provides after-school care (BSO) for 44 children aged 4-13. The inspection on 28 May 2025 shows that the location meets the quality requirements for pedagogical climate, staff, safety and parental rights. There was one improvement point: the dining stools had no footrests and one table was too small. Following a recovery offer, 14 stools with footrests and a larger table were purchased, bringing the location into compliance. No violations were identified. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement action.
