About this care
Welcome to daycare De Petteflet, a warm and cozy childcare center located at Lethmaetstraat 47 in the Korte Akkeren neighborhood, close to downtown Gouda. We are housed in a charming former school building in the Amsterdam School style, featuring beautiful authentic tiled paneling. Our location near the highways to the A12 and A20 is ideal for parents working outside Gouda.
At De Petteflet, we provide daycare for children aged 0 to 4 years in five groups: two combination groups (0-2 years: Tolteltuin and Torenkamer), one vertical group (0-4 years: Stampertjes), and two toddler groups (2-4 years: Duizeltjes and Hasselbosje). The rooms are spacious and divided into different activity areas where children can explore with all their senses.
Our outdoor space features a large, naturally designed playground behind the building where children can play and discover safely. For babies, there is a special section of the garden. We are also a Boekstart location with a reading corner in every group.
De Petteflet is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM.Read more

Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Petteflet in Gouda, part of Stichting Quadrant, was inspected by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) on 6 January 2026. The location provides care for 66 children aged 0-4 years in five core groups. The annual inspection showed that the location meets all assessed quality requirements regarding pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health. The pedagogical practice was assessed positively: staff create emotional safety, communicate well with children, and stimulate their development. The staff-child ratio and stability of care also meet the requirements. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. This is an improvement compared to last year, when a recovery offer was still needed for the supervision plan of a BBL apprentice. The GGD advises the municipality not to take enforcement measures.
