About this care
Welcome to Kindcentrum De Paperclip, located at Van Eedenplein 7 in the heart of Heerhugowaard. We are a true children’s centre where education, development, upbringing, relaxation and meeting come together under one roof. For the very youngest we provide daycare (0-4 years) in partnership with Blosse Opvang. Our pedagogical staff know every child and tailor the programme exactly to the developmental stage of your son or daughter.
Everything we do revolves around familiarity and customisation. Everyone knows each other, so your baby or toddler quickly feels at home. We work with horizontal groups, so children play with peers and activities are geared to their world of experience. For the youngest children (0-2.5 years) we offer a calm, safe environment with familiar faces and clear routines. We follow the VVE programme (early childhood education) to stimulate language and speech development from an early age.
Our opening hours are flexible: Monday to Friday you can use our services from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Toddler care is available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (Wednesday closed). Do you have irregular working hours? By arrangement we can occasionally provide care from 7:00 am or after 6:00 pm.

Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Paperclip in Heerhugowaard, part of Stichting Blosse opvang, provides early childhood education to a maximum of 16 toddlers aged 2-4 years in one group. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 16 October 2025. All assessed areas – pedagogical climate, staff/groups, safety & health, and parental rights – meet legal requirements. The pedagogical policy is worked out in concrete detail and visibly applied in practice through the Uk & Puk programme, stimulating development in language, numeracy, motor skills, and social-emotional areas. Staff hold the correct diplomas, 3F language proficiency level, and a pediatric first aider is always present. Safety and health policy, domestic violence reporting protocol, and complaints procedure are in order. Parents are informed through the website and newsletters; no parent committee has been established, but parents are actively involved through parent panels. No violations or areas for improvement were identified.
