Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Melkfabriek at Biltstraat 154 in Utrecht, between the Wittevrouwen and Oudwijk neighbourhoods, has been a trusted address for small-scale, personal childcare since 2010. Our location is housed in the former premises of Bogaert pharmacy, a spacious and bright daycare center with a unique industrial atmosphere that radiates calm and security. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in seven core groups, including baby groups, toddler groups and vertical groups. Behind the building lies a very spacious outdoor adventure area of 270m2 where children can enjoy playing, sliding, cycling and digging. Every day includes outdoor play. Our approach is characterised by learning through play with special programmes such as children's yoga (from age 2), weekly music lessons, introduction to the English language with hand puppet Tom, and a vegetable garden where children learn to plant and harvest. We also prepare children for the transition to primary school through our 'Almost Ready for School' programme. We work exclusively with organic food, including hot meals freshly delivered by Moekes Maaltijd, organic snacks, fruit, dairy and formula. We also use ecological care products and MUUMI nappies. The daycare center is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 18:30.
