The annual inspection on 27 May 2026 at after-school care (BSO) De Kindercarrousel in Rotterdam shows that the location meets all assessed quality requirements. The pedagogical policy is comprehensive and concretely described, staff hold the correct diplomas and Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) declarations, and the staff-to-child ratio is compliant. Pedagogical coaching is well organised and staff are competent in recognising domestic violence and child abuse. There is no parent committee, but this is not mandatory for a maximum of 50 placements; parents are consulted in other ways. Notably, multiple violations were identified in earlier inspections in 2024 and 2025, including on pedagogical policy, pedagogical practice, safety and health policy, and premises requirements. These have since been resolved. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises no enforcement action.
