About this care
De Hummeltjestrein is a small-scale daycare centre located at Stationsstraat 36 in Vleuten, part of the KunstNest organisation. At this location, called 'Het Station', we offer vertical care for up to 12 children aged 0 to 4. Our name 'de Hummeltjes' refers to the very youngest children in our care.
We work from a warm, homely atmosphere where every child feels safe and seen. Our pedagogical approach is inspired by Reggio Emilia, where we place children's creativity at the centre and encourage them to explore the world around them. We believe in creating challenging play environments where children can express their imagination.
Due to our small scale, we know every child and every parent personally. We tailor the daily schedule to the natural rhythms of sleeping, eating and playing, with fixed times for fruit, lunch and vegetable snacks. Our pedagogical staff are qualified and offer professional attention with continuity through familiar faces in the group.
The daycare centre is open Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. We work with a vertical group where babies, toddlers and preschoolers play and learn together, which contributes to the social development of all children.Read more
