Summary

Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Houtduif in Zaandam (part of TintelTuin BV) was inspected unannounced on 21 August 2025. The annual supervision study focused on the pedagogical climate and staff/groups. The location accommodates 37 children in three core groups (one baby group and two vertical groups for ages 1–4). All assessed statutory requirements were met: the pedagogical policy is worked out in detail and implemented by staff, the pedagogical practice provides children with emotional safety and appropriate developmental challenges, all employees are correctly registered and meet training and language requirements, the pedagogical policy officer's hours are deployed according to requirements, and there are stable core groups with familiar faces and a mentor for each child. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality not to take enforcement steps.
