Summary

The Municipal Health Service (GGD) Flevoland conducted an unannounced incidental inspection at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Flierefluiter in Emmeloord on 26 May 2026. The inspection was prompted by a report regarding overly warm bedrooms and hygiene practices. During the inspection on a hot day, two of the four bedrooms measured 23 and 24 degrees Celsius, exceeding the location's own maximum standard of 22 degrees. The ventilation system could not provide cooling, no air conditioning was present, and the bedroom doors were closed. The operator took immediate measures upon identification of the issues: installing air conditioning, deploying fans with frozen water bottles, and drawing up an action plan. Despite these recovery actions, the supervisory authority advises proceeding with enforcement, as the violation existed at the time of inspection and preventive measures were lacking.
