About this care
Welcome to De Duizendpoot, our daycare centre located at Het Wielsem 1 in ’s-Hertogenbosch. We are part of Kindcentrum De Duizendpoot, where childcare, pre-school playgroup and primary education are united under one roof. Thanks to this close cooperation, children aged 0 to 4 can grow up in a familiar setting and make a smooth transition to primary school.
Having fun while playing is our priority. Each day starts with a joint circle time, after which toddlers are free to discover all the things they can do and still want to learn. Our dedicated pedagogical staff guide every child step by step. We organise children into age groups so that activities and guidance match each child’s development perfectly.
Language development runs like a thread through everything we do. We name what we are doing during daily routines and teach children new words in a playful way, gently preparing them for primary school. Outdoors, children can ride around on bikes and play safely in our garden. We offer both full-day and half-day care, tailored to whatever suits your family best.

Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Duizendpoot in 's-Hertogenbosch was inspected on 28 May 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Hart voor Brabant. The location, part of Kanteel, provides care for 48 children aged 1.5 to 4 years in three groups and is recognised as a heavily burdened early childhood education location. All assessed quality requirements regarding pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and parental rights are fully complied with. The inspection found no violations or areas for improvement. Staff act in accordance with the pedagogical policy, work with the Pyramid Digital method, and provide adequate early childhood education. There was a recovery offer (herstelaanbod) in 2025 for pedagogical policy and early childhood education, which has since been resolved. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement measures.
