About this care
BSO De Boswachter is located in a classroom at CBS De Oliebron on Europaweg 145 in Schoonebeek. We provide after-school care for up to 16 children aged 4 years until they leave primary school. Our location works closely with the school, allowing children to use our care immediately after school, during teacher training days or school holidays.
Children have the space to play and develop at their own pace while relaxing in a comfortable environment. We create a pleasant "home-like atmosphere" where children of different ages grow together under expert guidance. Outdoor play takes place on the playground of groups 3 and 4, always under supervision.
Our group leadership consists of 1 to 3 regular staff members, depending on group size. In case of illness or days off, a regular substitute ensures continuity and familiarity for the children. Summary
After-school care (BSO) De Boswachter at primary school De Oliebron in Schoonebeek requested an expansion from 16 to 30 places. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) investigated on 22 July 2025 whether the pedagogical climate, safety, health, and space met the requirements for this expansion. All assessed requirements were met: the pedagogical policy clearly describes the group composition and staff-child ratios, the safety and health policy has been adapted to the additional space, and both indoor (57 m² + 49 m² hall) and outdoor (school playground) areas provide sufficient play space. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The holder received no recovery order. The GGD advises the municipality of Emmen to increase the number of places in the register.
