About this care
BSO De Bik is part of Brede School Het Anker, located at Hordenweg 7 in Wijk bij Duurstede. As an after-school care facility, we provide care for up to 40 children aged 4 to 12 years.
We are here for children before and after school hours, on teacher training days, and during all school holidays. Our before-school care is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 to 8:30 AM. Our pedagogical staff personally escort children to school, giving parents peace of mind to focus on their work.
De Bik is located in the same building as primary school Het Anker, allowing children to remain in their familiar school environment. The collaboration with the school ensures a seamless transition between school time and after-school care. We work closely with teachers and know each child personally.

Summary
GGD inspection of after-school care (BSO) De Bik in Wijk bij Duurstede, conducted on 9 April 2026. The location meets statutory requirements following two recovery offers. The Bikkels and Binken groups were combined with 30 children, while the pedagogical policy described a maximum of 22 and 11 children respectively. After the recovery offer, the work plan was amended to 30 children per group. A description of safe tool use was also missing from the safety policy; this has been resolved. Staff, accommodation, and all other components immediately met requirements.
