About this care
In the elegant Wittevrouwen district, on the leafy Wittevrouwensingel and just a stone’s throw from the popular Griftpark, you will find our intimate day-care centre De B’engeltjes. Since 2009 we have been offering a warm second home to a maximum of nine children per day, aged 0 to 4, in a beautiful listed building.
We believe that small scale is the key to calm, overview and genuine attention. By deliberately opting for one vertical group, children of different ages can play together, learn from each other and still follow their own developmental pace. Our close-knit team of pedagogical staff is on hand every day with a familiar face, so that both child and parent feel at home straight away.
Our doors are open Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 19:00, 52 weeks a year. The day-care is closed only on official public holidays. The hourly rate is € 12.38 and includes all care, activities and a home-cooked lunch. Parents who receive childcare allowance can have a large part of the costs reimbursed; a trial calculation can easily be made on the website of the Dutch Tax Authorities.

Summary
This Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection report of 30 September 2026 concerns a follow-up investigation at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) de "B"engeltjes in Utrecht. During an earlier inspection in July 2026, violations were identified regarding hand hygiene, infection prevention, and the four-eyes principle. The provider received a formal notice on 27 August 2026 with a two-week recovery period. During the current follow-up investigation, it was established that all shortcomings have been remedied: disinfectant hand gel is now available, gloves are used during nappy changing, cameras have been installed in all rooms, and childcare professionals have access to camera footage. The working methods have been sustainably embedded in policy and are discussed in team meetings and coaching sessions. The GGD advises against enforcement action.
