Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) de Avonturier in Breda, part of Kober, was inspected on 21 January 2026. The toddler care provides care for a maximum of 8 children aged 3 years in a toddler/preschool concept together with a primary school. The location meets the statutory requirements for pedagogical climate, qualification requirements, staffing levels and group stability. One violation was identified: a structurally present teacher (lateral entrant) from the school did not have a valid Certificate of Conduct for childcare (VOG kinderopvang) and was not registered in the Childcare Personnel Register (PRK), despite having been working in the toddler/preschool class since 3 December 2025. The school had not communicated the staffing change to the childcare in advance. The violation was remedied on Kober's own initiative: the teacher was linked in the PRK as of 27 January 2026 and additional measures have been taken to prevent recurrence. The four-eyes principle was safeguarded during the inspection and there were no indications of serious risk to the children.
