Summary
On 18 June 2026, the Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced incidental inspection at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) CompaNanny Potgieterstraat in Amsterdam. The inspection was prompted when the municipality discovered during a monthly check that several individuals registered at the address were not listed in the Childcare Persons Register (PRK). The investigation focused on access security and the involvement of these individuals with the daycare center. Three residents of the upper floor, who have access to the building through a shared hallway, were found not to be registered in the PRK or linked to the permit holder. This constitutes a violation of the Childcare Act. However, the entrance door to the daycare center itself is secured with a numeric code, meaning the residents do not have actual access to the childcare rooms. The permit holder has taken measures to prevent recurrence.
