About this care
Welcome to CompaNanny 7e Montessori! Located in Amsterdam-West at Nachtwachtlaan 35, we offer high-quality childcare and after-school care (BSO).
Our childcare is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with the option to extend care until 7:00 PM. Our toddler playgroup (peuterspeelzaal) is open from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM and provides early and preschool education for children aged 0 to 4. During school study days and holidays, the BSO is open all day and our toddler playgroup is closed.
Our after-school care (BSO) is located within the 7e Montessorischool, which means children can go straight to Junior BSO or Club BSO after school. Both groups have their own dedicated room. We make use of the large playground, the gymnasium, and the nearby Rembrandtpark, which serves as our 'back garden'. Our BSO focuses on playing and discovering together, with challenging groups and outings tailored to each child's developmental stage.
At CompaNanny, we work with a carefully developed pedagogical vision that forms the foundation for our mindful working method. Our well-trained staff ensure this vision is passed on to the children. We offer additional services for parents, such as healthy meals and a Parent Portal. During a tour, you'll get a good impression of our location, approach, and people. You can also view a digital 360° tour on our website. Register without obligation via our website to increase your chances of securing a place.Read more
GGD Inspection
Violations
Inspection date: March 18, 2026
Strengths
- Positive pedagogical practice with emotionally secure children
- Child-led activities with themes tailored to children's interests
- Good cooperation with 7e Montessorischool
- Permanent staff members and a clear daily routine
- Sufficient hours of preschool education (960 hours over 1.5 years)
Shortcomings
- The training plan could more explicitly address parent involvement
- EL-VVE registration needs to be checked for completeness more frequently
Violations
- Safety policy for outdoor play not fully implemented: one staff member was outside alone with 10 children while the gate was open, contrary to policy requiring gates to remain closed and staff to be positioned separately
- Procedure for a missing child was insufficiently concrete and not adequately known to staff; the policy could not be located and contained insufficient concrete steps, task allocation and contact arrangements
- Incorrect website link for the toddler care inspection report led to the after-school care (BSO) page instead of the location's own page
- EL-VVE list was not fully updated: not all children were registered
Summary
CompaNanny 7e Montessori PSZ is a toddler playgroup (peuterspeelzaal) in Amsterdam with 29 places, located within the 7e Montessorischool. The location offers preschool education through the Startblokken programme and is open five mornings per week. The annual inspection of 18 March 2026 found a positive pedagogical climate with emotionally secure children, child-led working methods, and good cooperation with the primary school. However, three violations were identified: incomplete implementation of the safety policy during outdoor play, an insufficiently concrete procedure for a missing child, and an incorrect website link for inspection reports. The EL-VVE list was also not fully updated. All violations have been resolved following a recovery offer. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises that no measures be imposed.
