About this care
BSO De Kreekels is located at Molenstraat 56 in the heart of Westdorpe and is part of ‘t Kreekeltje. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in a small-scale, homely environment. Our premises are housed in the local scouting building and feature a large grass field and even a private forest. Every day children enjoy new adventures and have plenty of space to play, be active and explore nature.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays we run special nature and sports BSO sessions. During these blocks children take part in active challenges and nature experiences—building dens, searching for insects, running, jumping and playing games together. One fixed team of pedagogical staff work with the children every day, giving them a familiar and secure feeling.

BSO De Kreekels in Westdorpe, part of Natuurkidz, was inspected unannounced on 21 May 2026 by GGD Zeeland. The after-school care (BSO) accommodates up to 22 children aged 4-13 in the building of the scouting association. The annual inspection showed that the location meets all assessed quality requirements regarding pedagogical climate and staff and groups. The pedagogical practice was rated positively: staff respond sensitively and responsively, respect children's autonomy, and provide structure. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The advice to the municipality of Terneuzen is: no enforcement action.
