About this care
Buitenkans Kinderopvang is a sustainable, small-scale daycare centre located at Meteorenweg 282 in Amsterdam-Noord, situated on Stadslandbouwproject NoordOogst. We provide care for children from 1 to 4 years old, surrounded by green fields, vegetable gardens and farm animals.
Our daycare has three age-based groups: the youngest group (1-2 years), the middle group (2-3 years), and the oldest group (3-4 years). Children are cared for in a safe, green environment where they have the opportunity to grow in nature.
We make daily use of the challenging outdoor space and the surrounding urban farming terrain. Children regularly visit the pigs, help harvest vegetables and learn to appreciate the sustainable food chain. Every day the children receive a healthy, warm vegetarian meal freshly prepared by our own cook.
