About this care
BSO Villa Emilia is a warm, small-scale after-school care centre in the heart of Lekkum. We provide care for up to 44 children aged 4 to 12. Our team works according to the Reggio Emilia approach: we see every child as a competent being with a hundred languages to express themselves. In our spacious, nature-rich garden and homely indoor spaces, children can play freely, build, read or engage in creative activities after school. We offer thematic activities that connect with the children's world of experience. Our pedagogical staff guide the children with attention and stimulate their independence and social skills. We work closely with primary school De Verenpracht, with whom we share the same building. This allows children to walk safely and familiarly to the after-school care after school. BSO Villa Emilia in Lekkum provides after-school care (BSO) to 43 children in two age groups. The inspection on 14 July 2025 shows that the location meets all legal quality requirements. The pedagogical policy is well developed and consistently applied. There is sufficient qualified personnel present and the children experience a safe and stimulating environment. During holiday care, it appeared that packed lunches were not always stored under refrigeration. The organization immediately announced it would purchase an extra refrigerator and provide sandwich meals themselves going forward. No violations were identified. The municipality receives the advice to take no enforcement action.
