About this care
Welcome to BSO St. Jozefschool, located at Kerkendijk 81 in the heart of Someren-Heide. We provide after-school care for up to 20 children aged 4 to 12 years. Our BSO is housed in the same building as the Roman Catholic Primary School Sint Jozef, allowing children to move seamlessly from their school day into a familiar environment.
The care is provided in partnership with Norlandia Kinderopvang. On regular school days we offer before-school care (VSO) and after-school care (NSO) on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Friday care is available subject to sufficient enrolments. During school holidays and study days we also provide care, provided a minimum number of children are registered.
Our qualified childcare staff create a safe and homely atmosphere where children can choose how to spend their free time. There is space for rest and relaxation with a healthy snack, as well as sports and games. We use the school facilities including the gym and outdoor area, making the transition from school to after-school care smooth and familiar.

Summary
The annual investigation by GGD Brabant-Zuidoost into after-school care (BSO) St. Jozefschool in Someren, conducted on 9 March 2026, shows that the location complies with the Childcare Act following a recovery offer. The after-school care (buitenschoolse opvang/BSO) of Norlandia Kinderopvang provides places for 22 children aged 4 to 12 years. Two violations were identified: the holder had not submitted a request to change the number of childcare places in the National Childcare Register (20 registered, 22 in practice), and the pedagogical policy plan incorrectly stated a maximum group size of 21 instead of 22 children. Both violations have been resolved following a recovery offer. Other aspects such as pedagogical practice, staff, accommodation, and parental rights are in good compliance. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises no enforcement action; however, the municipality must implement the change in the number of childcare places in the LRK.
