About this care
Spot4kids BSO Cabauw is located in the primary school building of Gerardus Majella School at Cabauwsekade 51 in Lopik. We provide after-school care for up to 16 children aged 4 to 12 years. The location has been registered in the National Childcare Register since December 1, 2016 under number 281757951.
Our pedagogical staff ensure that children feel safe and at ease. We believe it's important that every child enjoys coming to the after-school care and that parents can go to work with peace of mind. We tailor our activities to the children's world of experience and provide calm and structure after a busy school day.
The after-school care uses its own space within the school building. This allows us to start care immediately after school without children having to walk to another location. We work closely with the primary school to ensure a smooth transition from school to after-school care.
At Spot4kids, we value good coordination between home and childcare. We involve parents in choices that are important for their child and appreciate hearing their wishes and ideas. Spot4kids BSO Cabauw is a small-scale after-school care (BSO) in Lopik with a maximum of 16 places for children aged 4-12, located in the Gerardus Majellaschool. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection of 10 July 2025 concludes that the location meets all statutory requirements in the domains of 'pedagogical climate' and 'staff and groups'. The pedagogical policy is clearly documented and consistently implemented; the staff-child ratio is correctly calculated at location level and any cross-location care is well arranged. The pedagogical staff member provides emotional safety, structures play activities and communicates respectfully with the children. All staff hold valid diplomas, Certificates of Good Conduct (VOG) and are correctly registered in the Childcare Personnel Register (Personenregister Kinderopvang). There is a systematic coaching programme for staff. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement action.
