Summary

The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected after-school care (BSO) Ruige Wilde Beren in Waalwijk on 11 June 2026. The after-school care for 55 children (ages 7–13) meets the quality requirements for pedagogical climate and staff & groups. Two shortcomings were identified. For safety and health, a violation was found: children washed their hands before eating almost without exception, in violation of policy. This was remedied following a recovery offer. For parent rights, a parent committee was absent despite the location having more than 50 contracts; the holder demonstrated sufficient alternative parent involvement but was unable to recruit enough members. The GGD advises enforcement.
