About this care
At KindeRdam, we provide high-quality childcare for children from 0 to 13 years old. Our daycare centers (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) are specially designed for babies and toddlers from 0 to 4 years. Here they are lovingly guided by our experienced childcare staff, who support them in their development. We believe in a safe and stimulating environment where children feel at home and can develop to their full potential.
For toddlers between 2 and 4 years, we offer preschool/toddler care. This is an ideal stepping stone to primary school, where children playfully learn words and early numeracy. Our toddler groups focus on stimulating language development and social skills, so that children are well prepared for their next step.
For children from 4 to 13 years, we have after-school care (BSO). Here we offer an AWESOME TIME after school and during holidays. Children can participate in various activities, both indoors and outdoors, and have plenty of room to play, relax and make new friends. Our BSO is a place where children can be themselves and where fun comes first.Read more

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection report of 5 March 2026 concerns a follow-up investigation of after-school care (BSO) Risala in Rotterdam, an after-school care facility for 22 children (ages 4β13). During a previous inspection on 11 September 2025, five quality requirements were not met: pedagogical policy, pedagogical practice, safety and health policy, mandatory reporting/consultation/disclosure obligations, and parent committee. The provider has implemented improvements, including a new pedagogical coach, an action plan, more careful onboarding processes at other locations, and alternative parent consultation. In this follow-up investigation, the location meets all five previously failed requirements. The pedagogical practice now demonstrates sufficient emotional safety, personal and social competencies, and norm transfer. The GGD advises the municipality of Rotterdam not to pursue enforcement.
