Welcome to Prokino De Wastobbe BSO, our cozy after-school care located on the edge of Vreeswijk, just behind the dike, surrounded by greenery. Our BSO is located near the Willem Alexanderschool and provides a warm and familiar place for children aged 4 to 12.
At De Wastobbe, we work with three horizontal groups, allowing children to play and learn together in age groups. We provide space and time to play, do crafts, and read. Our pedagogical staff create a loving and stimulating environment every day where every child feels valued and supported.
Our location accommodates up to 92 children and is part of Stichting Meander-Prokino. We believe in the power of involved and supportive guidance, which is essential to help every child flourish. Children get the chance to be themselves, discover new things, and grow together with other children.

Summary
Prokino Nieuwegein BSO is an after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 12, located in a temporary location in Nieuwegein. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected the location on 12 May 2026. All assessed domains – pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and accommodation – meet the statutory requirements. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The care location accommodates a maximum of 76 children, divided across three groups. Staff-child ratios are in order, staff are well-trained and registered in the Childcare Personnel Register, and there is an effective safety and health policy in place. Children are collected safely from school, including on foot and by bus. The indoor and outdoor spaces are appropriately arranged for each age group.
