About this care
BSO De Margriet is located right inside the Prinses Margrietschool in the Zuilen district of Utrecht. We pick up children aged 4 to 9 from OBS De Cirkel, De Piramide, De Ludgerschool and, of course, from our own school. Older children move on to BSO De Stins, a short walk away in the local scouting building, between the ages of 7 and 8.
A school day is long, so our afternoons start with calm. There are no obligations, just space to breathe. If you’d rather burn off energy first, that is fine too. We use inspiring themes and a rich collection of materials to spark imagination and creativity. Arts and crafts, sports, reading a book or inventing your own game – it is all possible. Children decide for themselves whether to join an activity or play freely. Together with friends we make every afternoon enjoyable in a safe environment.
For children who need extra structure and attention we offer BSO De Margriet-plus. This smaller group provides more guidance without losing the fun. We work closely with parents and the school so every child feels seen and supported.

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected after-school care (BSO) De Margriet in Utrecht on 26 March 2026. The after-school care, part of Kind & Co Ludens with 45 childcare places, meets all assessed quality requirements under the Childcare Act. The safety and health policy is up-to-date and concrete, with clear attention to risks such as traffic, fire, and transgressive behaviour. Children are collected safely from school using high-visibility vests and fixed routes. One point of attention is the hygiene protocol for toilet use, where children were using a damp towel from the floor. The provider wishes to switch to paper towels but has not yet obtained permission from the school. There is no parent committee, but the provider involves parents through alternative channels. No complaints or disputes have been reported. The GGD advises no enforcement action.
