About this care
Our after-school care location Obrecht is situated in a spacious building next to the impressive Obrecht church, with an adjacent safe garden. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 6 years. We pick up children from Hildebrand van Loon School and Cornelis Vrijschool. During school weeks we are open from the end of school hours until 6:30 PM. During holiday weeks we provide care from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
Children receive a warm, organic meal from Madaga and can participate in activities such as music, crafts, reading, yoga and sports & games. We work from our pedagogical vision in which the individual child is central and social interaction within the group is stimulated. Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 28 April 2026 at BSO Oya's Childcare Obrecht B.V. in Amsterdam. The after-school care (BSO), located in a monumental building with two group rooms and an outdoor space, is part of a larger organisation with four daycare centers (kinderdagverblijven/KDV). The team consists of four permanent childcare professionals. All inspected quality requirements regarding pedagogical climate and staffing have been met. The pedagogical practice was assessed positively: children feel emotionally safe, are challenged in their development and learn social skills. One point of attention was that the working pedagogical coach is not formally qualified for this role; however, the organisation adequately compensates for this by engaging a qualified child psychologist for the mandatory coaching hours.
