About this care
Welcome to Swazoom Kinderopvang! With us, your child's development and enjoyment take center stage. We offer childcare with early education at more than 23 locations in Amsterdam Zuidoost. Additionally, we provide after-school care (BSO) at a number of schools for children aged 4 to 12.
Our early childhood education focuses on children from 0 to 4 years old. Here, children learn important skills through play, such as independence and the Dutch language. Activities like painting, crafting, and drawing help develop fine motor skills, which are essential for learning to write.
At our BSO locations, we create a pleasant environment where children can develop through play-based learning and discovery. We offer activities focused on both educational and creative development, such as sports, music, and crafting. Our staff are experienced and ensure a safe and stimulating environment for your child.
Swazoom Kinderopvang places quality at the forefront. All locations were recertified as 'complaint-free' by the Geschillencommissie in 2023. We work closely with primary schools and other partners in Amsterdam Zuidoost to provide a solid foundation for your child's future.Read more

Summary
The annual inspection on 8 December 2025 at BSO IKC Brasa in Amsterdam showed a good pedagogical climate with engaged staff, but identified two violations. The pedagogical policy was incomplete: it lacked a concrete description of staffing with only one professional staff member per day and a group assistant, while it assumed two professional staff members. A description of deviations from the staff-child ratio was also missing. In addition, the outdoor space was not appropriately equipped; there was virtually no play material available. Both violations have been resolved: the policy has been updated and new outdoor play equipment has been purchased, such as balls, blocks and a scooter. The pedagogical practice itself was good: children felt emotionally safe, there was attention to norms and values, and the staff members were well-trained and registered. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises against enforcement measures.
