About this care
Stichting BSO Pallas Athene is located on the grounds of Montessorischool Pallas Athene at Heinsiuslaan 1 in Amersfoort. We provide after-school care for up to 80 children aged 4 to 12 years, divided into three welcoming groups. Our location works closely with the school: care takes place both inside and outside the school building, allowing children to stay in a familiar environment.
The BSO is open on weekdays from 14:45 to 18:30, on Wednesdays from 12:30 onwards, and on Fridays from 12:00 onwards. During school holidays and study days, we remain open and provide care from 07:30 to 18:30. Parents register their child via the central application form available on the Montessorischool Pallas Athene website.
Our pedagogical staff work closely with the school teachers to optimally support each child's development. We offer peace and structure after an intensive school day, with room for free play, creative activities, and outdoor play in the school garden. Summary
The inspection report of 18 August 2026 concerns an unannounced incidental inspection at after-school care (BSO) Stichting Pallas Athene in Amersfoort. The location does not meet requirements in two domains: pedagogical climate and staff and groups. The pedagogical policy is incompletely described, practice does not align with policy, and two staff members were insufficiently familiar with the policy. In addition, one staff member was not linked in the Childcare Personnel Register (Personenregister Kinderopvang) in a timely manner, a recurring problem (repeat offence). The pedagogical practice itself does meet requirements: staff demonstrate sensitive and stimulating interaction with children. The holder has submitted a response with improvement measures, including tightening of policy safeguarding and additional coaching. The staff member has since been linked in the CPR (Personenregister Kinderopvang).
