Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected after-school care (BSO) KOALAH De Regenboog in Amersfoort on 20 April 2026. The location, based in primary school De Regenboog with 70 places for children aged 4 to 13, is compliant with statutory requirements following a recovery offer. The pedagogical climate and staff and groups were assessed. The pedagogical practice was positive: children felt emotionally safe, staff communicated respectfully, and the activity programme was varied. There was one violation: the pedagogical policy insufficiently described how the staff-child ratio was calculated at location level and how groups larger than thirty children were organised. Following a recovery offer, the holder revised the policy and work plan, after which compliance was achieved. Staff held the correct qualifications, Certificate of Conduct (VOG) statements, and received coaching. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
