About this care
Stichting Klein Duimpje provides before-school, after-school and holiday care for children aged 4 to 12 at Papegaaistraat 4A in Badhoevedorp. The BSO is small-scale, welcoming a maximum of 22 children so every child receives plenty of individual attention. The entrance is located on the rear playground of Dr. Plesmanschool, with whom we have partnered for many years.
Our qualified, permanent pedagogical staff create a safe and familiar environment. We work in horizontal age groups with stable team compositions, ensuring children meet the same faces every day.
Before-school care runs Monday to Friday from 7.30 to 9.00 a.m. After-school care starts at 3.00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and at 12.00 p.m. on Wednesday; all days finish at 6.30 p.m. During all school holidays and on Dr. Plesmanschool’s study days we are open from 7.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Children from other schools are welcome during official holiday periods only.

GGD Kennemerland conducted an unannounced annual inspection at after-school care (BSO) Klein Duimpje in Badhoevedorp on 20 January 2026. The after-school care accommodates a maximum of 22 children (ages 4–12), but effectively operates with groups of no more than 10 children. The owner is personally present in the group every day. The inspection focused on pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health. Two of the three areas immediately met the quality requirements. Regarding pedagogical climate, the policy plan was insufficiently concrete about working methods, group size, and staffing deployment. This was remedied following a recovery offer. The safety situation is good, with certified play equipment and an up-to-date safety policy. The pedagogical practice provides children with emotional security and adequately stimulates their development.
