About this care
Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kinderopvang de Knuffelbeer, located at Tolhuisweg 12 in Heerenveen. We offer a warm, homely and safe place where primary-school children aged 4 to 13 feel at home before and after school, on study days and during school holidays.
Our BSO is small-scale: we have room for a maximum of eight children, so every child receives the personal attention they deserve. We pick the children up from school – on foot, by bike, with our BSO bus or by car when needed – and we also take them to school in the morning. We work together with OBS Route 0513, Spring!, Albertine Agnes, CBS De Roerganger, CBS De Burcht, OBS De Slingertouw, SBO It Oerset and OBS Van Maasdijk (on Monday and Wednesday; other days by arrangement).
Upon arrival, children can relax after their school day. Inside there is space to do crafts, make creative projects or quietly play a game. Outside they can play in our safe garden, where they can run, romp and explore. We keep the daily rhythm flexible and adapt our activities to the age and interests of the children.
During holidays we organise extra challenging activities. Think of sports and games, crafts, outdoor adventures and creative projects that we can work on all day long. We also provide a warm meal or a joint breakfast, so parents can drop off their child without any worries.
