About this care
Welcome to BSO de VeldRakkers, our welcoming after-school care located right in the centre of Velddriel. You will find us at Voorstraat 75, just a stone’s throw from Deken Wehmeijer primary school, so children can walk over safely once classes finish. Our homelike premises host a maximum of 15 primary-school children aged 4 to 12.
After a busy day of lessons, children decide for themselves how to unwind: romp in the gym corner, dive into a book in our quiet reading nook, get creative with paper, cardboard and paint, or join friends in the kitchen to cook or bake. When the sun shines we head outside to the garden for games, building huts or simply enjoying fresh air. If none of the planned activities appeal, we invent something new together – almost anything is possible.

Summary
GGD Gelderland-Zuid conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 22 July 2026 at after-school care (BSO) 't Veldmuisje in Velddriel. The after-school care (BSO), part of Kinderopvang 't Veldmuisje Maasdriel B.V., accommodates 15 children aged 4 to 13. The location meets all examined quality requirements. The pedagogical practice is assessed positively: staff communicate in a calm, friendly manner, offer varied activities and create an emotionally safe climate. The administration, VOG/childcare worker registry (PBK) registration, safety and health policy, reporting protocol and parent committee meet statutory requirements. The parent committee currently has two members, fewer than the desired three, but active recruitment is underway and an alternative parent consultation has been organized. No violations or areas for improvement were identified.
