Buitenschoolse opvang De Klimop Centrum

Welcome to BSO De Klimop Centrum, our small-scale after-school care located right in the centre of Ridderkerk. We share the building with primary school De Klimop, so children step straight from their classroom into a familiar, welcoming place. Each weekday our two permanent pedagogical staff members welcome up to 22 children aged 4 to 13. No two days are the same. Children decide for themselves whether they want to get creative with paper, paint or clay, play a board game, build with LEGO or simply curl up with a book in our cosy reading corner. The dolls’ corner is always popular for imaginative play. In our modern kitchen we regularly cook or bake together; the children help prepare a healthy snack or a simple, tasty dish under the guidance of a staff member. Those who wish can also use the quiet area to finish homework. Outside, the spacious schoolyard offers plenty of room to run, play football or tag, or just enjoy the fresh air. Occasionally children can join an activity next door at the day-care centre, giving them the chance to meet children of different ages and learn from one another. We provide before-school care, after-school care and extended care from Monday to Friday. During school holidays children can attend BSO Oosterhonk, our nearby holiday location. The short lines of communication with De Klimop primary school make the transition from school to after-school care smooth and familiar. Parents who live or work in central Ridderkerk value our location as a safe, homely place where their children quickly feel at home.
