About this care
Welcome to Kindercentrum Vipkidz at Ambachtsmark 88 in Almere. We provide a welcoming out-of-school care (BSO) for up to 40 children aged 4 to 13. Our aim is to offer your child a familiar place to relax, play and discover new things after school.
After a busy school day, children can unwind at our centre. They can choose from various activities: playing outside in the fresh air, getting creative at the craft table, chatting with friends or quietly reading a book. We provide a safe and cosy environment where every child can be themselves and recharge for the next school day.
Vipkidz uses the KOVnet app. Through this app you can register your child, view daily schedules, submit swaps and plan holidays. Our safety and health protocols are also available there. We value transparency and good communication with parents.
Our location is officially registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) under number 890425966 and is supervised by the GGD Flevoland. This ensures we meet all legal quality standards and that you can apply for childcare allowance.Read more

Strengths
- Pedagogical climate: staff work with sensitive responsiveness and children feel emotionally safe
- Good atmosphere in both groups; children are relaxed and at ease
- Sufficient and appropriate indoor and outdoor space (295m² indoor, 250m² outdoor)
- All staff hold the correct qualifications, Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and valid first aid/emergency response certificates
- Works according to pedagogical and safety policy; regular team consultations
- Each child has a fixed mentor and there is good stability in the care
Shortcomings
- Risk of social media use needs to be stated more explicitly in the safety policy as transgressive behaviour (not only in an appendix)
- Evacuation drills not yet carried out (protocol is in place)

Kindercentrum Vipkidz in Almere was inspected on 7 October 2025 for a post-registration investigation. The after-school care (BSO) accommodates a maximum of 40 children aged 4-13 years in two base groups. The inspection was unannounced. The location meets all assessed requirements of the Childcare Act. The pedagogical climate is good: staff work with sensitive responsiveness, children feel emotionally safe and the atmosphere is calm. The accommodation in the renovated building more than meets the requirements. All staff have valid qualifications and Certificates of Conduct (VOG). The safety policy is in order, although the risk of social media as transgressive behaviour still needs to be stated more explicitly. No recovery offer was made.
