About this care
Welcome to the after-school care (BSO) of Kindercentrum de Parel, located on the ground floor of primary school OBS Polygoon at Randstad 22 115 in Almere. We are a small-scale, homely after-school facility where children aged 4 to 12 can relax, play and develop after school hours.
Our BSO is open on weekdays from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We pick up children from Montessorischool Randstad, KBS ’t Zonnewiel Waterwijk, De Argonaut Waterwijk and Ichtus Waterwijk. After school, the children first enjoy some time outside in our spacious, fenced garden or we take a walk in the nearby woods. Afterwards there is plenty of room to do whatever the child needs: rest, do homework, craft, play games or simply have fun.
We work with qualified, permanent childcare professionals who know each child well. Our approach is calm, structured and predictable, so children feel safe and secure. We believe it is important that children can be themselves after a busy school day. Therefore we offer activities that match their interests and needs, without too many stimuli.
Parents are more than welcome to share their ideas about activities and policies. We have an active parent committee that regularly contributes ideas about outings, themes and the annual program. Summary
After-school care (BSO) Kindercentrum de Parel in Almere was inspected unannounced by Municipal Health Service (GGD) Flevoland on 29 January 2026. The location is compliant with all assessed requirements following a recovery offer. There is a relaxed atmosphere; children play freely and there is a varied range of activities and meals. The pedagogical policy is well implemented and staff are sufficiently qualified. There was one violation: the operator could not provide a correct floor plan with square metres, which revealed that the indoor play area (53.7 m²) is only suitable for 15 childcare places rather than the registered 18. The operator has remedied this by having an official floor plan drawn up. The number of childcare places must be reduced to 15.
