Kinderbelevingscentrum De Vathorst

Welcome to BSO De Vathorst, part of the Kinderbelevingscentrum De Vathorst in Hooglanderveen. Located right next to the swimming pool and skate park, and across from IKEA, our after-school care is a lively and welcoming place for children aged 4 to 12. We pick up children from various primary schools in the area and bring them to our vibrant location where an exciting afternoon awaits. Our programme is built around the interests and needs of each child. Whether it's repairing an old radio, making green smoothies, or relaxing with a book on the couch — anything is possible. We have a cooking studio where children can experiment with ingredients and recipes, a gym for sports and games, and an eight-metre-tall treehouse in our adventure garden. We also offer guitar lessons in collaboration with the Amersfoort Music School and regularly organise swimming lessons. Our qualified staff guide the children with care and warmth. We believe every child is unique and develops at their own pace. That’s why we offer activities tailored to each child’s interests. We work in horizontal groups, bringing together children of similar ages to support social development and make it easier to offer age-appropriate activities. After school, there’s always something to do. We regularly go on excursions, make use of our spacious garden for outdoor play, and create a homely atmosphere where children feel safe and at home. We also welcome children who need extra care or support. Together with parents, we look at what is needed to give every child a place where they can thrive. We communicate with parents through our parent app, where we share photos and short stories of the day’s adventures. Or we prefer to tell you in person at pick-up time. Because at BSO De Vathorst, it’s all about growing, discovering and having fun — every single day.
