About this care
Kindcentrum Balans BSO at Klaverveld 3 in The Hague is part of Vlietkinderen and provides after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 years. We are located in the vibrant Ypenburg area, near Ypenburg shopping center, making our location easily accessible.
Our BSO is specifically designed for primary school children. We provide care on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 15:00 to 18:30 and on Wednesday from 12:00 to 18:30. During school holidays and study days, we are open from 07:30 to 18:30, ensuring parents have childcare coverage during free days.
We work closely with Kindcentrum Balans primary school, allowing us to provide a seamless transition from school to after-school care. Our professional childcare staff are ready to give children a safe and engaging afternoon. We offer various activities including sports and games, creative workshops and fun excursions. Our location has ample space for both quiet and active moments.

Kindcentrum Balans after-school care (BSO) in 's-Gravenhage (70 places, ages 4–8) received its annual unannounced Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection on 24 October 2025. The pedagogical climate scores well: policy and work plan are up to date, the four basic objectives (emotional safety, personal/social competence, norm transfer) are observed, children experience calm, ample materials and outdoor play are available, and older children may go home independently with permission. Staff are qualified, VOGs (Certificate of Good Conduct) and PRK registration are in order, staff-to-child ratios are met, and coaching hours are correctly allocated. There was one violation: the mandatory supervision plan for the deployed BBL trainee was missing. The location received a recovery offer, submitted the plan in time, and now complies. First aid requirements are continuously safeguarded. Municipality receives advice: 'no enforcement action'.
