About this care
Welcome to Kids2b BSO Bedum, located at Burchtstraat 2 in the heart of Bedum. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in a homely, green and adventurous setting. After school, children decide for themselves how they want to spend their time: enjoying a drink and fresh fruit together, playing outside in our spacious garden, joining a creative activity or relaxing with a book in one of our cosy corners. We regularly transform parts of our space into a theatre or restaurant, letting children be chefs and waiters. Our experienced pedagogical professionals create a warm atmosphere and guide the children with attention to our three focus areas: nutrition & exercise, language and outdoor play. We go outside every day, rain or shine, and stimulate language development through conversations, reading aloud and play. Kids2b has been the leading childcare organisation in North Groningen for over 30 years, and we are proud that parents often hear their children do not want to leave because they are having such a good time. Summary
On 15 January 2026, GGD Groningen conducted an unannounced annual inspection at Kids2b BSO Bedum, an after-school care (BSO) for a maximum of 20 children located on Burchtstraat in Bedum. The inspection assessed the pedagogical climate and staff and groups. All assessed legal requirements were met. The pedagogical practice was positive: children were collected from school in an emotionally safe manner, could independently pour their own drinks and choose toys, and the group atmosphere was familiar and trusting. Staff members held the correct qualifications, VOG declarations, and IKK language level. Staff-to-child ratios were in order. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement.
