About this care
Located on the ground floor of Kindcentrum Koningskwartier at Ryckevelde 1 in Zevenhuizen, our after-school care (BSO) serves up to 100 children from grades 3 to 8 of the primary school. Children are divided into four groups: the Dragon's Rock, the Frog Pond, the Tower Room and the Crocodile Pond. Each group consists of approximately 20 children guided by two dedicated pedagogical staff members.
Our opening hours align seamlessly with school schedules. On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday we start at 14:30, and on Wednesday already at 12:15. We are open every weekday until 18:30 at the latest. After school, our staff collect the children from their classrooms and accompany them to the BSO area.
We believe it's important that children can unwind after an intensive school day. Therefore, we always start with a shared moment: chatting about the day over fruit and a drink. Afterwards, children can choose: participate in the day's activity or come up with their own ideas. Our pedagogical staff ensure a safe environment while offering challenge and variety in play.
The BSO has access to all facilities within the child center. We have a spacious play hall, a professional kitchen for cooking activities, and a large outdoor playground with natural and challenging materials. During holidays, we offer an adapted holiday program with fun outings and activities.

Summary
The annual inspection by GGD Hollands Midden on 10 June 2026 at after-school care (BSO) KC Koningskwartier in Zevenhuizen shows a predominantly positive picture. The after-school care meets the quality requirements for pedagogical climate and safety and health. One violation was identified regarding qualification requirements: a staff member employed since February 2026 did not hold the required professional qualification. The operator made use of the recovery offer of 29 June 2026. The staff member in question will complete an online B2 training course and will not be deployed in a formative role until completion. The operator has amended the HR procedure to prevent recurrence. Following recovery, the location meets all requirements. The advice to the municipality of Zuidplas is: no enforcement action.
