About this care
BSO Jettepet is a lively children’s centre run by Kids First, located at Sumatralaan 18a in the Korrewegwijk district of Groningen. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12, before and after school hours, on teacher training days and throughout all school holidays. Up to 14 children can be cared for at the same time.
Our centre is part of Kids First, a development-oriented childcare organisation active in the provinces of Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe. Children’s needs are always our top priority. We offer a safe environment where children can play, make friends and discover new things. Playing together is central to everything we do.

Summary
BSO Jettepet in Groningen, part of Kids First, was inspected by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) on 24 March 2026. The after-school care (BSO) accommodates up to 14 children aged 4–13. All assessed areas (pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, parental rights) meet the legal requirements. However, a notable situation was observed: at the time of inspection, only one child was present with an unfamiliar substitute who did not know the location, the child, or the escape routes. The provider explained this was due to staff changes and illness. The pedagogical policy describes how to deal with unfamiliar substitutes, but not specifically how they familiarize themselves with the location before providing care. The location received recovery offers in 2024 and 2025, but now complies without a recovery offer.
