About this care
Welcome to IKC Klimboom, a vibrant integrated child centre in the heart of Zoetermeer. We provide after-school care (BSO) for children aged 4 to 12 at our location on Nesciohove 105-107. After school, children walk straight through to our BSO rooms, where a surprising activity programme awaits them every day.
Our qualified pedagogical staff create a warm, safe atmosphere in which every child can be themselves. We believe in the power of play and discovery. One day we craft enthusiastically, the next we do sports in our own gym or on the playground. Cooking and baking are also regularly on the menu, as well as quietly relaxing with a book on the sofa.
We collect children on foot from schools in the immediate area. For schools that are a little further away, we use our own (bike) buses or a reliable taxi company. During school holidays we provide holiday care from 07:00 to 18:30, always filled with creative workshops, sporty outings and adventurous excursions to places such as Buytenpark, the library or the garden centre.

Summary
GGD Haaglanden conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 7 August 2026 at after-school care (BSO) IKC Klim boom in Zoetermeer, part of Stichting Junis Kinderopvang. The location provides care for up to 88 children (ages 4–13) in four base groups and is located in an integral child center (integraal kindcentrum/IKC) with a primary school. The inspection report is predominantly positive: no violations were identified on any items examined. Pedagogical practice aligns well with policy, with attention to children's independence and ownership. Staff hold the correct qualifications, Certificates of Conduct (VOG) and language proficiency level 2F. The staff-to-child ratio was in order. The safety and health policy is up-to-date and regularly evaluated, including specific attention to transport and missing child procedures. The domestic violence and child abuse reporting protocol is well applied. The parent committee is satisfied with the pedagogical practice; previously raised points of attention have been resolved.
