GGD IJsselland conducted a registration inspection on 2 July 2026 at BSO IKC De Steenuil in Deventer, a new after-school care (BSO) location of Stichting Kinderopvang Varietas. The location also offers toddler care (peuteropvang) and holiday care (vakantieopvang). All assessed quality requirements were found to comply with the Childcare Act. The pedagogical policy, safety policy, and personnel policy have been formally established in writing. The accommodation more than meets the requirements, with sufficient indoor and outdoor space for more than the requested 30 childcare places. The GGD advises registering the location with 45 childcare places. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. Some aspects, such as pedagogical practice and actual staff deployment, can only be assessed after opening during the post-registration inspection.
