Welcome to Vesper BSO + IJsbaanpad, our small-scale after-school care located in the heart of Amsterdam-Zuid. We provide specialized care for children aged 4 to 12 who may benefit from extra support. Our team of experienced childcare professionals is ready every school day from the end of school until 6:30 PM, and during holidays from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
We create a safe and structured environment where every child can develop at their own pace. Our approach focuses on providing calm and structure, allowing children to experience success and discover their talents. We work closely with parents and schools to ensure care is optimally tailored to each child's needs.

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 3 August 2026 at BSO IJsbaanpad in Amsterdam, part of VesperCare B.V. The location provides care for a maximum of 15 children aged 4 to 12 years with additional care needs (BSO+). The pedagogical practice is good: there is plenty of structure, clarity and emotional safety. However, two violations were identified concerning temporary agency workers: one was not linked in the PRK and one did not hold an appropriate diploma. Both violations were resolved following a recovery offer. The organisation has drawn up an improved action plan for the deployment of external staff.
