About this care
BSO De Vlinder is located within KBS St. Jozef primary school at Tuinstraat 15 in Rijen. We provide professional after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 years. As part of Stichting Muzerij, we work closely with the school to offer seamless childcare services.
Our BSO is integrated into the school building itself, allowing children to remain in their familiar environment. We offer both before-school care (VSO) from 7:30 AM and after-school care (NSO) following school hours. With a maximum capacity of 45 children, we organize children in age groups that align with school classes.
Our qualified childcare staff are ready to guide children in their development after school. We provide both rest and structure after a busy school day, with attention to both relaxation and development. Children can participate in group activities or play independently under supervision.
The collaboration with KBS St. Jozef ensures short communication lines and good coordination. We follow the school holidays and study days, and provide care during vacations when needed. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspected the after-school care (BSO) De Vlinder (renamed WIJozef as of 27 August 2026) in Rijen, part of Stichting Muzerij, on 19 August 2026. The annual inspection took place during the summer holiday. The location provides before-school and after-school care (BSO) for 50 children aged 4 to 13 years in two base groups. All assessed quality requirements were met: pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and parental rights. The pedagogical practice demonstrated warm, supportive guidance with a varied range of activities. Staff registration and ratios were correct, there is a permanent team and mentorship for all children. Parents are well informed and there is a complaints procedure. No violations or areas for improvement were identified.
