The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced incidental inspection at BSO Heerlerbaan in Heerlen on 27 January 2026. The location, part of Humankind, applied to expand from 22 to 65 childcare places. All assessed areas (changes, pedagogical policy, stability of care, safety and health policy, and accommodation) meet statutory requirements. The after-school care (BSO) has sufficient indoor space (227.7 m²) and a spacious enclosed outdoor area of 800 m². The interior is still being developed as furniture is being transferred from another location. The GGD gives a positive recommendation for the expansion to 65 childcare places.
