About this care
Happynest Kinderopvang BSO is located at Oranjeplein 140 in the centre of The Hague. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13. Children are welcome after school, on Wednesday afternoons and during school holidays, in a familiar setting where there is plenty of room for play, sport and relaxation. Under the guidance of our qualified pedagogical staff, children spend enjoyable afternoons together with friends and classmates.
There is always time to do homework; our team is ready to help whenever needed. We also organise sports and creative activities that match the children’s interests. We believe it is important that every child feels safe and at ease, so parents can work or study with peace of mind.

- During a previous inspection on 4 November 2025, it was found that the staff-to-child ratio was not met between 15:00 and 15:15. This violation has since been resolved.
Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced follow-up investigation at after-school care (BSO) Happynest Kinderopvang in Den Haag on 17 March 2026. This investigation was carried out following a previously identified violation during an inspection on 4 November 2025, when the staff-to-child ratio (BKR) was not met between 15:00 and 15:15. During the current investigation, which took place from 14:45 to 15:30, it was found that the BKR is now being complied with. Attendance records and staff schedules from 9 to 16 March 2026 also show that the required ratio is being met. The previously identified violation has therefore been resolved. The GGD advises the municipality not to take enforcement measures.
