About this care
Welcome to BSO Flierefluiters! Our after-school care is located at Trombonestraat 1 in Spijkenisse, in the green neighborhood of Vogelenzang Noord. Our BSO is situated in primary school de Flierefluiters and has space for up to 34 children.
Every day is different with us. We love playing games, doing crafts, and baking healthy cookies with local products. 'Mmm, that smells delicious!' We're crazy about workshops from our activity team, like NERF battles or archery. On our large outdoor area you can ride bikes, go down the slide, or enjoy scootering 'Look how fast I can go!' We also love going out: playing in the large natural playground nearby, visiting the petting zoo, or going to a museum. Are you coming with us?
When the school bell rings, our staff are ready to bring your child to our BSO. We work together with schools Vogelenzang Noord and Vogelenzang Noord/Leonardo. Of course, we coordinate with the school about which children come when.

The Municipal Health Service (GGD) Rotterdam-Rijnmond conducted an unannounced post-registration inspection on 14 October 2025 at Flierefluiters, an after-school care (BSO) in Spijkenisse with 34 places for children aged 4 to 13. The location is part of Smallsteps B.V. and is housed in primary school De Vogelenzang. Overall, the care meets the statutory quality requirements. The pedagogical practice is good: staff provide emotional safety, adequately guide children during conflicts, and stimulate their development. There are also no issues regarding personnel, accommodation, and parent information. However, a violation was identified regarding the duty to report, consult, and file charges: not all staff knew that they must directly inform the provider when suspecting abuse by a colleague, and how to act when suspecting abuse by the provider themselves. Following a recovery offer, the provider took measures: the subject was discussed in a team meeting and information is now physically available at the location. The violation has been resolved.
